Do Me A Favor, Please!

Friends, family, strangers, supporters....will you all please do me a favor?  Hop on over to my sweet friend, Tracey's, blog.  Tracey has an awesome t-shirt fundraiser going and they are working hard to bring home their son, Maddox.  People, this kid is seriously cute!  I can't wait to squeeze him myself.  And I will.  Because Tracey (who lives in South Carolina) is a hoot and I think she and I could have lots o' fun together!  Oh yes.  It will happen.

Anyway!  This is her blog.  Please check it out and follow their journey.

And this is her t-shirt blog.  Please buy a t-shirt and help bring sweet Maddox home.

I've already bought a couple and can't wait to wear them in honor of Maddox, Griffin, and all the other Korean cuties coming home to their forever families!

Side note:  I asked my very smart 16 month old who has only heard English for four month to please pick up his toast and put it on his plate, and he did it!  He walked over to his toast, picked it up, and then walked over to his plate and sat the toast down.  And then we cheered and I told him to get over here and give his momma some kisses and he walked his cute like self over and did just that!  Love my boy!

Favorite Time of the Year!

It's September!  Which means several things.  Cooler weather (after a brutal summer), football (Boomer Sooner #1), and the beginning of the holiday season.  No, there isn't a holiday in September but Kinley's birthday is the beginning of October so I need to start preparing for that.  The Chambers love this time of year!

We LOVE football.  I mean halt all plans, eat special food, scream at the TV (that would be me) love football.  And not just any football.  SOONER FOOTBALL!!!  #1 baby!!!

Well, yesterday was Griffin's first football experience and even though little man has a nasty cold, I think he enjoyed it just as much as the rest of us.  Check out my little Sooners!

The kiddos looked adorable and the Sooners won so it was an awesome day!
Griffin has been home with us 4 months now and he is doing so well.  Recently, he has really started trying to say several different words.  I've been trying to get him to talk since he came home but just this last week he's decided he's ready.  He said "Hi, da" to Blake on the phone and he's tried saying cracker, dog, more, and apple.  There might be another word or two I can't think of or even that I'm just not hearing.  But it seems like he has made up his mind and he's ready to talk, and I think that is going to help his adjustment and attachment a ton!  He's a sweet, lovey little guy but has a temper and often takes things out on the people around him, including Kinley.  Kinley is very sweet to him and seems understanding.  She never retaliates against him.  I'm so proud of Kinley and her adjustment to having a little brother.  She's a wonderful big sister!

Here's to a fun fall and a spectacular holiday season!
