Happiest Guy On Planet Earth

We did a little photo shoot with Griffin today.  Actually, I didn't plan on getting all these great shots, but Griffin is quite the ham for the camera.  And he was loving his little chair!

The following shots are not my favorites that I picked to show you.  They are the only 12 pictures I took...one right after another.

My boy is so sweet and happy and loving and FUN!!!

Cause and Effect

This is why Koreans are so thin.
And why I lost 4 pounds in the 6 days we were in Seoul.

And this is why I gained it all back.

Boys

I received this video a couple months ago in a weekly email that I get from RainbowKids.com. I knew I wanted to save it and share it at a special time. Well, today marks one month that Griffin has been home with us.

If you're not an adoptive parent and you've been touched by our story or someone else's, please pray about adoption. Ask God what he has planned for you. And when you take that leap of faith....pray about a boy.

Up and Running

Well, my computer decided to take a little vacation this week.  We're not quite sure what happened, but it just shut down and wouldn't turn back on.  Sometimes I wish I could shut down and not reboot for a few days.  Wouldn't that be nice?

Anyway, I'm back and I have lots of things I want to share with you.  First, Griffin took his first steps this week.  Tuesday, May 31!  He was standing at the couch where I was sitting and he just turned and took two steps!  Yay!  So exciting!  I still think it'll be a month or two before he's really walking but he's working on it.

Also, on Friday, June 3 Griff went from sitting to standing all by himself.  It was so cute and he was so proud!  He went up and down four times in a row.  He's changed so much in the month that he's been home.

A few more little tid bits about Griffin....

He wakes up happy.  Always.  It's kind of annoying.

He ate a dill pickle spear a couple days ago.  A pickle!  The boy loves food.

Still loves the water.  Bath, water table, or pool.  Makes no difference.

He climbs on ANYTHING.  And he watches me while he climbs....because he knows I don't approve.

He and Kinley are having lots of fun together.  Griffin makes his sister laugh (and whine) a lot!  When Kinley wakes up from her nap she is always wondering "where baby?"  Yeah, she still won't call him Griffin.

He is SO SWEET.  Lots of kisses and snuggles.  Oh my, he melts my heart.  You need a towel when Griffin starts lovin' on ya, though.  Poor guy is cutting teeth and he's a slobbery mess.

On that same note, Kinley FREAKS when Griffin slobbers on her.  She's comes running to me and says "uh oh.  baby!"  And I have to wipe her off.

He still can't be in the car seat for long without either falling asleep or throwing a fit.  Love hate relationship, for sure.

He's just so darn cute!
